In 1971, Epidemiology Unit was established under
the Health Services Division. However, in 1992,
the restructuring of the Ministry of Health under
the New Renumeration System, the Health Services
Division was expanded and reorganised to become
Department of Public Health of which Division of
Disease Control was created.
