The Communicable Disease Control Section is one of the sections in Disease Control Division, Malaysian Ministry of Health.

Our section is headed by a Deputy Director of Disease Control (Communicable Disease Control) and consists of 5 specifics units ie:

International Health Unit

Vaccine Preventable Diseases Control Unit

Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control Unit

Food and Water Borne Diseases Control Unit

Zoonotic Diseases Control Unit

This section, which is also known as CDC, deals with surveillance,prevention and control at national level of communicable disease listed in the Communicable Disease Prevention and Control(1988) Act 342.
